What types of household items are we looking for?

Consign and Design LLC specializes in all types of furniture from antique to contemporary. Items such as sofas, dining room sets, bureaus, chairs, chandeliers, lamps, pictures, mirrors, rugs and most home decor items. Our decision to accept an item is based upon a number of things: condition, style, color, season and desirability. However, if it is a unique or collectable item, we may consider it. We will make the decision at the time of your appointment on smaller items. Furniture items please email photos to ConsignDesign@Live.com or call us 603-298-2100 to preview your items if too numerous to send photos.   We love unique and unusual items!

What other types of items do we accept?

We do buy and sell Gold & Silver. Silver flatware is in demand. We sell all types of jewelry; new, vintage, and hand crafted.

Do I need an appointment to consign items?

YES. In order to service you better an appointment is needed. Please call 603-298-2100 for an appointment—

** We ask that your items be cleaned, polished, not chipped or broken. Upholstery must be without tears, stains, smoke odor or animal hair. We must reasonably be able to put no less that $10.00 on an item. We reserve the right to decline anything we feel is not saleable. Please limit your items to 10-12 per visit.  Please call or email for an appointment.

Who sets the price?

Our knowledgeable staff will determine prices, with your approval. We welcome any information you have regarding the age and original cost of the piece. We want to be as fair as possible to determine the saleable price. Keep in mind the economic times upon us and that we will need to sell your items within 60 days.

What will it cost to sell items through Consign and Design LLC?

We give the consignor 50%. Your items are left with Consign & Design LLC for a maximum of 60 days, with a 10%-20% markdown after 3-4 weeks and an additional 10-25% markdown after 45 days. Your items will expire AFTER 60 days and any item not picked up by the consignor before the 60-day expiration will become the property of Consign and Design LLC.  Consign and Design LLC reserves the right to mark down the item further or choose to donate to a local charity. *** Sorry- YOU WILL NOT BE COMPENSATED ON ANY EXPIRED ITEMS.

Dealer Booths:  We offer space for rent to our consignors who wish to manage and replenish their own inventory. Rents start at $75/month (you keep 100% of the sale price, less credit cards fees, instead of the 50/50 consignment percentage). Please contact us for more information and availability.

When and how do Consignors get paid?

At the end of the contract period consignors pick up their checks at the store during normal business hours.  It is the responsibility of the consignor to pick up any checks due to them.  All unclaimed consignment payments will be voided 6 months after agreement expiration.  Moving out of the area?  No problem, we can mail your check if you give us your mailing address.
